Registration and information for Taizé Gathering on November 7th and 8th, 2008.
Come and enjoy a wonderful day of Prayer, Song, Silence, Bible Study & Discussions .
The event will begin with Evening Prayer on Friday, for those able to attend.
Taizé is an ecumenical monastic community in the Burgundy region of France. It is known worldwide for its commitment to reconciliation, its meditative worship and its weekly welcome of thousands of young people from around the globe. Brother John joined the community in 1978. He has written eight books on Biblical topics and often leads retreats in the U.S. and Italy.
Suggested Donation – $10 to cover a meal and snacks.
We will also be accepting donations towards the Taizé travel fund and helping young people to travel to Taizé.

Welcome and Coffee– 11:00-12:00
Song Practice (optional) 11:30 am
Midday Prayer – 12:00
Lunch - 12:45
Session I: Bible Study with Brother John – 1:45
Session II: Small Group Discussion – 2:45
Snacks and Tea – 3:45
Session III: Conversation with Brother John – 4:15
Evening Prayer – 5:30
All events will be held at the Park Slope Methodist Church, 410 Sixth Avenue (the corner of 6th Avenue and 8th Street) in Brooklyn, New York. By subway, take the F train to 7th Avenue, or M, R to 9th St. Directions will be emailed.
